Why did you choose to attend Brock?
I chose Brock because at the time it seemed to fit my needs best. It’s a Small city, Good Sport Management program, and great baseball. Plus I had been talking to coach and he was pushing the baseball program pretty hard, so in the end it was an easy decision.
How long have you played baseball?
I have played baseball since I was 5. Playing t-ball down at Smallwood ballpark in my hometown.
What got you started in baseball?
I was born in '91 which was the year before the Jays won back to back titles. So my dad was one of those guys who hopped on the baseball bandwagon, he would constantly play catch with me and soon enough the sport just became something that I really fell in love with.
Highlight of your baseball career?
The highlight of my baseball career is a tough one. First I would have to say pitching in the first game of the 2009 Canada Games against Quebec. Their roster was filled with guys who had been drafted and a reasonable crowd was on hand, just to be in that situation and perform well was huge for me. The most recent of course is winning the OUA title with Brock this year, it was the best feeling I have ever experienced, sprinting to the mound and celebrating with some of the best teammates I have ever had. Awesome
Who is your role model?
My role model would have to be my dad, he really has showed me that there is light at the end of any dark time. He always pushed me and my brother, not in sports but in school and everyday life. Being a single parent after 2000 raising two boys 3 years apart wasn't easy, but he would never show his weakness, he always stayed strong.
What do you like most about baseball?
Well Baseball is a love of mine. There is nothing better than coming to the park a couple of hours before game time, getting in the mindset that today is a good day because we are playing ball. Then when we hit the field there is no better feeling than packing a dip with the rest of the pitchers, cheering on your teammates, than warming up and hitting the mound where you just do your thing. I hope that answered the question.
Extracurricular Activities: I volunteer at the Fergie Jenkins foundation, which is located in St. Catharines. It gave me the opportunity to meet some baseball legends which was unreal. Other than that I just play intramural basketball to keep my competitive edge in the off season and also play other sports for recreation.
Favourite food: chicken of any kind.
Favourite movie: Major League 1 and 2, The Rookie, and Bull Durham. It was apparent I like major league, for CIBA Nationals this year I actually had my hair cut like Rick ' WildThing' Vaughn, who was the bad boy closer in the movie.
Favourite book:Bullpen Gospels for sure, it gives the best look at the life of a pitcher trying to make it to the bigs. Which is something we all dream of.
Favourite song: That Ain't Classy by Classified and 8 Second Ride by Jake Owen
Nickname: Don't really have one. Closest would be Lord Tunderin' which is what Kyle Porter another guy on our team calls me.
What are your future ambition in both your career and life?

What are your future ambition in both your career and life?
For my career I would have to say hopefully be able to work with the NCAA one day, but the cliche with all ball players is go pro, so I will throw that in there too. In life really I just want to better myself and meet as many people as I can, learning as much as I can in the process.
Parents/Siblings and what they do?
As for my sibling, well I have a brother in grade 11, who plays basketball and baseball. He is hoping to join the royal reserves of Canada soon and after that work in the military, which is great because it’s something he is really passionate about.
If you could travel any place in the world where would you go and why?
I would have to say Florida, its somewhere I haven't been. It is the place my favourite ball team the Florida Marlins call home so I would like to catch a few games and enjoy the sunshine.
