Gregory Theriault-Men's Rowing

Position: Rower, don’t really have positions in rowing
Age: 20
Hometown: Rothesay, New Brunswick
High School Attended: Rothesay High School
Major: Sport Management
Year of Eligibility: 3
Why did you choose to attend Brock? Choose to come to Brock first for its rowing program and secondly for its school
How long have you been rowing? I have been for six years
What got you started in rowing? A sign that said “JOIN ROWING!”
Highlight of your rowing career? First year at Brock, won OUA in men’s eight then won a silver and bronze medal that summer for NB at Canada summer games
Who is your role model?
I have had a few role models over the years like Wayne gretzky and Arnold Schwarzenegger but right now I think I would have to say Adam Kreek, a Canadian, Olympic gold medalist from Beijing in the men’s eight
What do you like most about rowing?
I like rowing because I get to push myself everyday and can constantly be competitive
Extracurricular Activities: I play intramural volleyball during the winter term and the rest of my time is spent rowing

Favourite food: Pizza, I could eat pizza for every meal!
Favourite movie: Forest Gump
Favourite book: not too sure don’t read much outside of textbooks and other course readings
What are your future ambition in both your career and life? I would like to get a job doing something in sports
Parents/Siblings and what they do? My dad is an elementary school teacher and my mom works at a Lexus dealership. I have one older brother who goes to school at University of New Brunswick Saint John and a Younger sister who is in grade eleven.
If you could travel any place in the world where would you go and why?
Iceland to see its landscape
